Using the service
First Light is a private sharing service for pregnancy, labour and birth updates. By using the website, app or portal, you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully and in line with these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Your account and content
Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for the information and content you choose to add or share through your account, and for choosing the people or circles who can receive an update.
When you add someone’s contact details, invite them or share an update with them, make sure you have a legitimate reason to do so. Do not use First Light to send unlawful, abusive, deceptive or unwanted communications, or to interfere with the service or another person’s privacy.
Important health and safety note
First Light is a communication tool, not a medical, emergency or clinical service. Do not rely on it to seek urgent help or to contact emergency services, a midwife, doctor or hospital.
Availability and changes
Because First Light is in early access, features may change, be unavailable or be removed while we improve the service. We will take reasonable care in operating the service, but cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
Ownership
First Light and its original content, design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain responsibility for content you provide and grant First Light the limited permission needed to store, process and show it in order to operate the service for you and the people you choose.
Ending use
You may stop using First Light at any time. The mobile app currently includes an account-deactivation action; see Account deletion for what it does today. We may suspend access where it is reasonably necessary to protect people, the service or legal rights.
